Description
English: Amidst escalating tensions with Iran, on 22 May 2023 the United States Air Force posted rare photos of a GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bunker buster bomb being transported at Whiteman Air Force Base, but soon deleted them without any explanations, apparently because the photographs revealed sensitive details about the weapon's composition and punch. The publication happened as The Associated Press reported that Iran is making steady progress in constructing a nuclear facility that is likely beyond the range of the GBU-57. The Iranian newspaper Tehran Times alleged that the publication was a "Joint operation by AP and U.S. Air Force", calling it "mere charade for the policy of making military threats look".
